The Inspection Process
The customer will submit the free visual inspection check form to Online Electrical
Services LTD, with all the required fields completed. A Representative of Online
Electrical Services LTD will contact the customer to arrange a suitable time
and date to complete the free visual check at the property address that’s
been filled out.
The inspection will be carried out within 10 days of form submission unless
otherwise contacted or a customer is not in the Sheffield area.
If the property is private rented or council rented you should contact the landlord
or council directly as it is their responsibility to make sure that the electrics
are safe in the property not the tenants.
The work that will be carried out
Each free visual electrical inspection will only be carried out by qualified
electricians. The electrician will visually check the wiring in the home for
any dangers which would not pass the latest regulations.
We will assess the condition of your fuse board (consumer unit), estimate the
age of the fuse board and comment on the fuse board according to current regulations
and safety, The electrician will then show the customer the finding and break
down technical terms and explain the problem if any clearly.
Limitation of Liability
Any comments or suggestions made in the time of the visual inspection of domestic
electrical installation cannot indicate all defects as the problem may be hidden
inside parts that are not accessible. Such as cables underneath the floor boards.
These’s items will not be visually inspected and online electrical services
LTD is no responsible for these inaccessible parts/places. No testing will be
carried out so online electrical services LTD may not be held responsible for
any tampering with or addition to an installation as surveyed by us.
If Online Electrical Services LTD is unable to attend a free visual check for
any reason then the custom will be informed of this. If you are out of the South
Yorkshire area we may not be able to inspect your property for free an additional
fuel cost may be agreed upfront before we can inspect your property to cover
the outgoings.
Further Works & Quotations
When you receive the results of the free visual check we may provide information
such as to the fitness of the electrical installation. And also flag with you
any installations or wiring problems that do not meet current regulations. Online
electrical services LTD will offer a free no hassle quotation for these problems
or maybe for a more detailed test and inspection to correct the problems.
If improvements are required this does not necessarily mean that a particular
item is unsafe, but that it may not comply with the current IEE wiring regulations.
Online electrical services may offer the customer a periodic inspection and
test report to further assess the safety of electrical installations. If there
is further issues after this test the customer will be quoted with the relevant
finds that need work.
Data Protection
The information we collect about you will be used to carry out the free inspection.
We never share your information with 3rd parties. We may send you details of
products, offers and services. If you wish for your information to be deleted,
please send a written notice to us.
Improper Use
You may only use the free visual inspection for legitimate requests, and never
for improper use or any fraudulent purpose.
Revisions
This agreement may be revised at any time, without notice, by displaying the
revised agreement on the Website.
